25 Most Common ICD-10 Diagnoses in 2016

The implementation of ICD-10 in October of 2015 created hundreds of new diagnostic categories that can be recorded in a patient’s chart. With nearly 30,000 active monthly practices on the Practice Fusion platform we can offer insight into trends in ambulatory care in the US.

Our top diagnoses, as determined by recorded ICD-10 codes, clearly show the prevalence of certain conditions in this country.

Hypertension, high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), and diabetes are the most common diagnoses among patients seen by physicians on the Practice Fusion platform. Depression, anxiety and obesity follow closely behind. Back pain rounds out the top 10 most common diagnoses. The details can be seen here:
